This sculpture is a simple female torso, a twisting nude figure in bronze.

Venus, or Aphrodite, is the goddess who rose from the sea in Cyprus. My early childhood living in Cyprus introduced me to mythological figure at a young age. The original idea came from a small piece of flint that suggested a female form. The idea for this sculpture came from a piece of bone that suggested the form here.

The bronze is 24cm tall, the base is approximately 10cm but can be changed and made of flint, marble or stone. Total height with base as shown is 34cm. 9cm wide and 8cm depth.
