Icarus IX

This sculpture shows Icarus rising towards the sun; he is about to fly off and away to freedom. In the legend Icarus and his father Daedalus flew away from Crete to escape King Minos.

The warm patination colour reflects the heat of the sun in Greece.

This is a bronze cast sculpture, a limited edition of 9.

Each one of the limited edition is handmade and if not immediately available can be produced within a few months. Each one will be slightly different as is the nature of hand made sculpture. It is made in England.
